Diesel Fitter
Automotive · Redbank, Brisbane QLD, Australia · Full-Time · $60/hr
An excavator down on site, a crane hydraulic fault, a piling rig that needs a service: you will handle all of it as a Diesel Fitter / Heavy Plant Mechanic based in Redbank, Brisbane.
The employer is a long-standing Queensland construction and engineering outfit with a wide spread of earthmoving, lifting and mobile machines that must stay on the job. Expect far more than oil changes in a workshop: specialist plant and call-outs to sites when something stops. Your trade papers, track record and hands-on skill decide whether you fit. Overseas tradespeople with the right qualifications, experience and visa eligibility can be sponsored by the employer.
Diesel mechanics with a South African trade certificate should plan for a skills assessment for Australia.
