Brake jobs, timing belts, suspension work and the odd fault that takes real diagnosis: this is the mix at a growing automotive workshop in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. It needs a full-time Motor Mechanic who can prove genuine workshop time.
The work covers servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs. Your background, hands-on experience and technical ability must be backed by employment and qualification records that can be checked.

Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain vehicles on a routine basis
- Inspect cars, find mechanical faults and run diagnostic tests
- Repair brakes and suspension, and fix engines and swap out components
- Replace timing belts and handle the related mechanical work
- Work out what each repair needs and finish it to a professional standard
- Use workshop tools and diagnostic gear safely and properly, following health, safety and workshop procedures and keeping your bay clean and organised
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant automotive trade qualification preferred
- Proven time in an automotive workshop, with hands-on servicing and mechanical repair experience
- Practical skill in diagnosis and fault finding
- Knows brake, suspension and engine systems
- Strong at solving mechanical problems
- Dependable and responsible at work
- Works well alone or in a team
- Good eye for detail
- Valid driver's licence
- Able to supply verifiable evidence of qualifications and work experience, and must meet applicable sponsorship and employment requirements
