Dented panels, rust, fresh paint and the odd race car: the work in this North Shore City, Auckland workshop is anything but routine. A growing automotive business in New Zealand needs skilled Panel Beaters and Spray Painters to join its expanding team.
The workshop wants people with real hands-on experience, proven technical skill and a strong record of quality work, who can confidently handle a variety of vehicles and own each job until it is finished to a professional standard.

Key Responsibilities
- Do panel beating and vehicle body repairs to a professional standard, including rust repairs and the body restoration that comes with them
- Handle spray painting and refinishing on vehicles
- Work across many makes and models
- Prep damaged areas and surfaces ready for repair and paint
- Assess what each repair needs, pick the right technique and see allocated jobs through from start to finish
- Keep the finish and workmanship at a high level
- Follow workshop procedures and safety requirements
- Organise your tasks well, hit agreed job deadlines and work confidently without someone watching over you
- Communicate well with the rest of the workshop team and keep your space professional and organised
- Help with race car preparation, events and track days when required, and back the team up when the workload rises
Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Proven experience working as a Panel Beater or Spray Painter, across a variety of vehicle makes and models
- Panel Beater applicants need practical rust repair experience
- Can complete repair work on your own from start to finish
- Strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality
- Work experience that is genuine and can be verified
- Self-motivated and reliable, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Works well in a multicultural team
- Good spoken English is essential
- Holding NZ residency or an existing NZ work visa is advantageous
- International applicants are welcome, and sponsorship is available for suitable international candidates
- Available for a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Flexible to work Saturdays in busy periods when required
