Key Responsibilities
- Keep daily bakery operations running smoothly, staying hands-on and leading by example when it gets busy
- Organise and back up the team through each shift, and manage staffing and day-to-day operational needs
- Train and develop staff so service stays consistent
- Give customers a strong experience and help drive sales
- Keep an eye on stock, orders and product wastage
- Uphold food safety, hygiene and operating standards
- Look for practical ways to lift sales, efficiency and customer satisfaction, and support ongoing improvements across the bakery
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in retail, hospitality, food service or a management setting
- Shown ability to lead, supervise or support a team, with strong communication and people skills
- Focused on customers and understands sales and business performance
- Dependable, organised and happy to take responsibility, with a hands-on way of handling daily operational problems
- Stays effective in a busy, fast-moving workplace
- Bakery experience in the past will be advantageous
- Able to back up your work experience and skills with evidence, and must meet applicable New Zealand immigration and visa requirements
