Breakfast, lunch and dinner, a full floor team and a kitchen to keep in step with: that is the job for a Restaurant Manager at an established hospitality business in Noosa Heads, on the Sunshine Coast.
Running a restaurant here means more than smooth service. You will be accountable for people, performance, organisation and the whole guest experience, working closely with the wider management team and the chefs. The owners want someone hands-on who has led teams through busy service before.
Be ready to prove your background with verifiable work history and relevant qualifications. Managers coming from South Africa should get reference letters and certified copies of any hospitality diploma sorted early.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the restaurant day to day and oversee guest service across breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Lead the front-of-house crew, set clear service and performance expectations, and train people so standards stay consistent
- Write rosters, cover staffing needs and keep an eye on labour use and efficiency
- Keep front of house and the kitchen working smoothly together
- Deal with guest questions, feedback and complaints, and look after reservations and booking enquiries
- Track stock, inventory and restaurant records
- Help with menu changes, seasonal updates and better ways of operating, working with management to lift processes and team results
- Keep the restaurant clean, well presented and up to service standard, and check food safety, licensing, WH&S and workplace compliance
- Set the example and keep the venue professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum two years of relevant full-time restaurant management experience and/or a relevant diploma
- Proven experience taking responsibility for restaurant operations
- A verifiable work history relevant to the role, with supporting evidence of your past professional experience
- Strong leadership and people management, plus confident spoken and written communication
- Well organised and good with time, including rostering and coordinating staff
- Understands labour costs and restaurant cost control
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills, and stays effective when service is busy
- Professional, reliable and accountable, with a real interest in hospitality operations and growing a team
- Able to hold standards steady across service, presentation and cleanliness
- Must meet applicable sponsorship and visa eligibility requirements
