Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair electrical systems
- Track down electrical faults and diagnose them properly, testing systems to find what needs fixing
- Install electrical work in a range of settings, including commercial installs when required
- Read electrical plans, specs and technical documents
- Use electrical tools, test gear and machinery the right way, making sure every job is safe and up to standard
- Keep your work area clean, safe and tidy
- Get jobs done efficiently with a high standard of workmanship, working alone on your own tasks and with the team when needed
- Deal professionally with customers and workmates, giving reliable service and a good customer experience
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified electrician with relevant trade certification
- Hands-on electrical maintenance experience you can demonstrate
- Strong practical know-how in repairs and fault finding
- A work history that can be verified
- Commercial electrical experience is advantageous
- Understands electrical safety, compliance and workplace procedures
- Can diagnose problems and work through technical issues on your own
- Careful, quality-focused work
- Dependable, professional and hardworking
- Communicates well with customers and team members, and is willing to supply documents backing up your qualifications and experience
- Overseas candidates must satisfy applicable New Zealand employment and immigration requirements
