Rope Access Technician

Hanging off a city façade, you could be cleaning windows in the morning and caulking, glazing or painting by the afternoon. A specialist building maintenance business in Victoria needs qualified Rope Access Technicians at Level 1, 2 or 3 for projects across the state.
The work mixes rope access with practical maintenance: façade services, inspections and remedial works. The employer will look at your certification level, logged rope hours, earlier site work and any trade papers to decide what work and growth suit you.
Technicians who want to move up can get extra training and a possible path into supervision. Have your logbook and certified copies of your tickets ready to send.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out rope access work in line with industry and site safety procedures, and keep rope access gear in safe, working order
- Do building maintenance and high-access jobs, including commercial window cleaning on ropes
- Paint, repair concrete, and handle caulking and sealing
- Help with glazing, façade maintenance, façade inspections and remedial projects
- Spot and report site hazards and any issues with equipment
- Keep your work accurate and professional
- Work well with supervisors and the rest of the site crew
- Take part in ongoing training and development
Requirements & Eligibility
- IRATA or SPRAT certification at Level 1, 2 or 3, kept current
- Level 1 candidates need at least 500 logged rope access hours
- Current Construction White Card and current First Aid certification
- Practical rope access experience that can be verified
- Demonstrated experience in window cleaning, painting, concrete repair, caulking or glazing is advantageous
- Strong commitment to safety at work
- Dependable attendance and a professional work ethic
- Good eye for detail
- Able to show evidence of your qualifications, tickets and relevant work history
- Australian driver's licence preferred
- Willing to do extra training where required, and available for Monday to Friday work with occasional Saturdays; visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates
