A salon in South Melbourne, Victoria, has room for an accomplished Senior Hair Stylist who wants a future in the Australian hair industry. You would join an established, growing team of experienced professionals and look after clients who expect consistently high-quality work.

Hair extension skills are a real plus, especially if you want to grow that specialty, but senior-level hairdressing ability and strong client care come first.
Key Responsibilities
- Run thorough consultations so you understand what each client's hair needs
- Cut, colour and style hair and carry out other salon services, giving every client professional hairdressing
- Produce polished, consistent results that meet professional standards
- Suggest suitable hair care, styling and maintenance options
- Build lasting, positive client relationships and help keep clients coming back through quality service and professional communication
- Give every client a welcoming, professional experience and keep your own presentation sharp
- Work as one team with fellow stylists and salon staff, and help keep the salon culture positive and productive
- Keep your workstation clean, hygienic and organised
- Follow salon procedures along with health and safety requirements
- Keep up with current hair trends, techniques and industry developments
- Take part in professional training and skills development
- Offer hair extension services where you are qualified or experienced
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
- Proven experience as a Senior Hair Stylist or experienced professional hairdresser, with a demonstrable history of salon work
- Able to verify your professional identity, qualifications and relevant employment experience, and willing to take part in the required verification process
- Strong technical knowledge of modern hairdressing techniques
- Confident with client consultations, with good interpersonal skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Strongly committed to quality and customer satisfaction
- A passion for hairdressing and for building your skills
- Professional, reliable and motivated
- Able to work well on your own and in a team
- Understands salon hygiene, safety and professional standards
- Hair extension experience is highly regarded; sponsorship is available for a suitable and eligible candidate
